Jacob brings 11 years of solar experience and a background in both the U.S. Air Force (where he worked on airframe power systems) and residential electrical work. As a project engineer, he enjoys tackling new challenges and staying up to speed with evolving tech.
He values how excited customers are to learn about their systems and credits the EFS team for being passionate and purpose driven.
At home, Jacob spends time learning and creating with his kids, playing chess, and bowling. His advice for those thinking of entering the solar industry: “Learn to love change and challenge. Embrace the solar coaster.”
And when it comes to understanding how solar fits into the bigger picture, he offers this insight: “Solar doesn’t stand on its own. Unless it’s paired with storage and/or other onsite power sources, it is a partnership with the electric utility and its grid.”
